    El Super Bowl LV no será en Los Ángeles; cambió su sede a Tampa Bay

    Los dueños de la NFL decidieron mover el juego en LA para 2022 debido a los retrasos en el estadio de Inglewood.

    El tan esperado regreso del Super Bowl a Los Ángeles se retrasará, pero sólo por un año.

    Días después de que se reveló que la apertura, del estadio que compartirán los Rams y Chargers , se retrasará por un año, los dueños de la liga votaron unánimemente el martes para trasladar la sede del Super Bowl LV en 2021 de Los Ángeles a Estadio Raymond James de Tampa Bay.

    "El área de Tampa Bay ha gozado de gran éxito en los últimos años que ha alojado los Super Bowls y esperamos con interés trabajar con nuestros líderes locales en los próximos meses para cumplir con los requisitos para la celebración del Super Bowl LV en 2021," dijo el co-presidente de los Buccaneers Bryan Glazer en un comunicado emitido por el equipo.     En cuanto a LA, en la reunión de primavera de la liga en Chicago, los propietarios votaron por que el estadio a construitse en Inglewoord para albergar el Super Bowl LVI en el año 2022.

    Sin embargo, según ha informado la NFL Network privilegiada Ian Rapoport, la liga requiere estadios para ser abierta por dos temporadas antes de que puedan albergar un Super Bowl. Los dueños habrían necesitado aprobar una exención para LA para acoger el gran juego, ya que ahora no está programado para abrir hasta 2020. Originalmente habí sido programado para su apertura en 2019.

    El récord de lluvias en el sur de California causó retrasos en la construcción a principios de este año en el estadio de Inglewood, lo que provocó su apertura que ser retrasada por un año.
