    El portero alemán del Liverpool Loris Karius, autor dos errores decisivos en la final de la Liga de Campeones que perdió su equipo 1-3 ante el Real Madrid, sufrió una conmoción cerebral durante el partido que podría haber influido en su actuación, confirmó este lunes el hospital de Estados Unidos donde se realizó las pruebas.

    "Después de revisar atentamente el vídeo del partido y su historial detallado -que incluye un informe con sus síntomas después del contacto-, y de ser realizados exámenes médicos y métricos, hemos concluido que el Sr. Karius sufrió una conmoción cerebral durante el partido del 26 de mayo", informaron el Massachusetts General Hospital y el Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital en un comunicado.

    Karius fue sometido a exámenes el 31 de mayo, luego de un choque con el defensa español Sergio Ramos, por los doctores Ross Zafonte, experto en golpes sufridos por deportistas, sobre todo de la NFL, y Lenore Herget, que señalaron que "durante la evaluación, el Sr. Karius presentaba signos de disfunción visual espacial que habrían ocurrido inmediatamente después del evento (...) Es posible que esos déficits hubieran afectado su actuación", añadió.

    El arquero alemán fue objeto de numerosas críticas luego de errar en dos de los tres goles del Real Madrid: el primero llegó dos minutos después del golpe con Ramos, cuando le entregó el balón al delantero francés Karim Benzema (51), mientras que en el tercero no llegó a despejar con los puños un disparo lejano y aparentemente inofensivo del galés Gareth Bale a los 83.
