Los Patriots consiguen al ala cerrada Dwayne Allen a cambio de una cuarta ronda
El ex jugador de los Colts fue negociado por Indianapolis con destino a New England para tomar el lugar de Martellus Bennett junto a Rob Gronkowski.

Los Colts están a punto de enviar de forma oficial al ala cerrada Dwayne Allen a Nueva Inglaterra, informó Ian Rapoport de NFL Network, a través de una fuente informada del trato.
Indianapolis recibirá una selección de cuarta ronda a cambio del ala cerrada, mientras que los Patriotas tendrán a Allen y una sexta ronda.

Allen se convirtió en prescindible en Indianápolis cuando Colts volvió a firmar Jack Doyle con un contrato por tres años y $ 19 de millones el martes.
A pesar de que los Pats tenían interés en retener a Bennett, no estaban dispuestos a superar el acuerdo de Gronkowski de $ 9 millones por temporada.
Allen está en medio de un contrato que lo hará cobrar sólo $ 2,5 millones en 2017 y $ 4,5 millones en 2018 bajo términos estipulados por cuatro años a cambio de $ 29.400.000, en la extensión firmada el pasado mes de marzo.

Dicho esto, Allen fue superado por el no seleccionado en el draft Doyle tanto como bloqueador, como receptor la campaña 2016. También ha perdido mayores oportunidades de ver acción debido a sus lesiones de cadera, espalda y tobillo durante los últimos cuatro años.

En el lado positivo, Allen es un ajuste excelente en el esquema en Nueva Inglaterra, ofrece un seguro para el frecuentemente lesionado Gronkowski y permite que Josh McDaniels tenga la libertad de ejecutar ofensivas de dos alas cerradas como la situación lo requiera.

Si Allen juega a su más alto nivel en la ofensiva de Tom Brady, los Patriotas no van a extrañar a Bennett.
