    Wayne Rooney tendrá que hacer trabajo comunitario por conducir ebrio

    El futbolista inglés del Everton se declaró este lunes culpable de ese falta, por lo que además se le retiró el permiso para conducir durante dos años.

    Londres- El futbolista inglés del Everton Wayne Rooney se declaró hoy culpable de conducir ebrio, por lo que fue condenado a cien horas de trabajo comunitario y se le retiró el permiso de circulación durante dos años.

    Durante una vista celebrada hoy en los juzgados de Stockport, en la ciudad de Manchester, el delantero pidió perdón por su comportamiento y reconoció que ponerse al volante tras haber bebido alcohol fue una "falta de juicio imperdonable".

    El delantero contó lo que sintió el plantel al regresar a los entrenamientos y no tener a un líder como Wayne Rooney, quien hace poco anunció su retiro de la selección. Y recordó lo que aportaba ‘Bad Boy’.

    Rooney, de 31 años, recibió el alto en un control de alcoholemia mientras circulaba el pasado 1 de septiembre a las dos de la madrugada a los mandos de un vehículo de una acompañante por la localidad de Wilmslow, en el condado de Cheshire, al norte de Inglaterra.

    El excapitán de la selección nacional y del Manchester United fue detenido y puesto después en libertad bajo fianza hasta la celebración hoy del juicio.

    Las pruebas presentadas constataron que Rooney conducía con un nivel de alcohol en el organismo tres veces superior al límite permitido, que en Inglaterra y Gales se sitúa en los 35 microgramos por 100 mililitros de aliento.

    En un comunicado remitido a la agencia de noticias Press Association (PA), Rooney declaró hoy que ya había pedido disculpas a su entrenador, el holandés Ronald Koeman, a "todo el mundo en el Everton" y a su esposa Coleen y sus tres hijos, quienes se encontraban de vacaciones cuando ocurrió este incidente.

    "Ahora quiero pedir perdón a todos los seguidores y a cualquiera que me haya seguido y apoyado durante mi carrera. Por supuesto, acepto la sentencia del tribunal y espero que pueda arreglar algunas cosas a través del trabajo comunitario", agregó el futbolista.

    Casado con Coleen desde 2008, la pareja anunció recientemente que espera ahora a su cuarto hijo.
